TEN talented students from Hartlepool are getting ready to have their dreams come true.
Every one of them have won places in the cast of Her Benny which comes to the Forum Theatre, in Billingham, next week.
And among its bright lights will be Hollie Boynton-Briggs, 13, who has been selected to play the part of a little girl called Sniffer.
It was thanks to a helping hand from the Hartlepool Mail that Hollie got a part in the show.
Our Dance Fever column recently told how the organisers of the show were looking for cast members and Hollie and her family spotted the article and she went for an audition.
Organisers say the numbers who turned up were phenomenal and Hollie won her role.
She was one of a handful to secure one of the main parts from more than 200 hopefuls.
Her mum, Andrea Boynton Briggs, 38, who works part-time in cosmetics, said: “We are really pleased for her. She has never auditioned for anything before and we are so proud.”
The show is all about an urchin called Benny and his little sister Nell who rely on courage and love to survive in Victorian England.
Also in the show from Hartlepool are Nicola Brown, 15, Hollie Cadwallender, 12, Lilly Cadwallender, six, Erin Gallagher-Smith, seven, Hannah Ingram, 13, Michael Rice, 14, Chloe Robson, 14, Mia Foster, aged eight, and Amie Steele, 13.
It runs from Tuesday, March 6, to Saturday, March 10, with nightly performances at 7pm and matinees at 1pm on the Wednesday and 2.30pm on the Saturday, as well as a 10.30am show on the Thursday.
The run ends with a 7.30pm Saturday show.
All seats are £16, with concessions at £14, and for more details, contact the theatre box office on (01642) 552663.
