A DANCE school teacher says she "could not be happier" after an appeal for more students paid dividends through the Hartlepool Mail.
Kim Ross, 20, was averaging four students per session when she started hosting dance classes on Thursdays, from 4pm to 5pm, in conjunction with the Hartlepool MIND group.
It is open to females aged 13 and over and its aim is to introduce girls and women back into physical activity in the local community and become more socially involved.
Kim said: "We started with around four regular clients but we now have 15 in regular attendance and more ringing each day which has been partly due to the success of the article the Mail printed. I could not be happier."
Kim has been dancing for around 12 years and has learned all forms of dance from ballet to tap and modern.
She first began teaching around three years ago and runs classes throughout town.
The Peoples Centre sessions, in Raby Road, are for "anyone who wants to come along and enjoy themselves," said Kim.
She also hosts other classes such as two adult street dance sessions a week, an under tens street dance session, and two street chaos sessions for girls aged 10-17.
