THE points are starting to mount up in our annual crusade to help your favourite schools.
The Hartlepool Mail-backed Shop for Schools contest supplies an array of educational gifts to schools across Hartlepool and east Durham.
These include electrical goods, books and sports equipment.
All readers have to do is take receipts from any purchases within Hartlepool’s Middleton Grange Shopping Centre to the complex’s information stand.
There your receipts will be stamped and returned, complete with vouchers at a rate of one per £1 spent.
These vouchers can then be immediately placed in letterboxes marked with each participating school’s name.
We will keep you posted as to how all 26 entrants are doing with a series of league tables.
Today’s shows that Hartlepool’s Springwell School is the early leader with the town’s Kingsley in second place and Holy Trinity third.
But do not worry if your favourite schools appear too far down the list.
There is still plenty of time until the competition closes on June 30.
Don’t think either that bigger competitors have an unfair advantage as point scores will be divided by school rolls.
The Mail will also be printing a series of bonus points vouchers every week to help boost your tallies.
Double points are also available on Sundays and triple points on bank holiday Mondays.
