A REVELLER needed hospital treatment for several stab wounds after being attacked with broken bottles.
Police are appealing for witnesses after the victim got out of a taxi and was attacked with what they believe to have been broken glass bottles.
The 21-year-old victim is said to have been returning from a night out with friends at 2am on Saturday, June 18, when he got involved in a row with a group of men in Kimberley Street, Hartlepool.
A Cleveland Police spokeswoman said: “He was then attacked by a group of men and suffered several puncture wounds, believed to be from broken bottles.
“The men then ran off towards the Burn Valley area.”
One resident who lives in Kimberley Street was woken up by shouting and looked out of his window to see a man being attacked.
He said: “I could see someone on the floor with a group of lads around him kicking him, two girls started fighting with each other as well, it wasn’t a pretty sight.
“I didn’t see if they had anything in their hands, but there was glass on the path.
“I didn’t recognise any of them. The lads ran off one way and the girls ran away in the

Another resident in the street added: “I looked out of the window and saw the police putting a cordon up.
“I didn’t see what had happened, but there was glass all over the path and road.”
Three men, aged 21, 22 and 24, have been arrested in connection with the incident and have been released on bail pending further inquiries.
The injured man was taken to hospital for treatment, but has since been sent home.
