Man suffers ‘significant’ head injury in Hartlepool street attack

A man is seriously ill in hospital after a street attack in Hartlepool.

The 30-year-old man suffered a serious head injury in assault in Cornwall Street, close to Uppingham Street, at around 8.15pm last Saturday, October 3.

The victim is believed to have been punched by a man who then left him victim lying unconscious in the road.

He suffered a ‘significant’ head injury and is still in James Cook University Hospital.
