A Hartlepool pub is inviting people to join them for a good sing along and dance in aid of a worthwhile cause this weekend.
The Compass Rose on Hartlepool marina is holding a disco and karaoke on Sunday, July 3, in aid of Macmillan Cancer Support.
The fun gets underway at 4pm and continues until closing time.
It is being organised by general manager Matthew Spence and assistant manager Debbie Bone.
Debbie said: “There is a lot of people out there who depend on Macmillan.
“To me it is very personal because I lost my mum to cancer but that is just one of the reasons.
“I think they do a very good job and don’t get enough recognition. They depend on people’s support for funding.”
The Navigation Point pub, which was formerly Rosie O’Grady’s Irish bar, will also be holding raffles with lots of great prizes during the fundraiser and organisers hope to see as many people there as possible.
It will also be supporting Macmillan throughout the year and have collection boxes on the bar.
