WEARSIDE audiences are being thrilled by the moonwalking moves of Michael Jackson.
Thriller Live, a musical celebration of the King of Pop, is running all this week at Sunderland Empire.
The show has been running in the West End for five years and has gone on to be performed in 26 countries.
It’s the brainchild of Adrian Grant who was a long time friend of Michael Jackson.
He said: “It covers his whole career right through from the ABC days.
“There’s a lot of controversy around Michael, but I wanted to bring people back to his music.
“I didn’t want to tell his story through impersonators in a tribute act, so we have different people performing his music at different stages throughout his life. Each shows a different piece of his talent from a rock singer, to a soul singer to a child singer.”
n Thriller Live is at the Sunderland Empire until Saturday May 11. For tickets priced £10 - £32. Tel. 0844 871 3022 or go to www.ATGtickets.com/Sunderland.
