AN award-winning entrepreneur could be planning a trip to Buckingham Palace after being invited to become a “friend” for a trust.
Hartlepool woman Michelle Taylor, whose designer lingerie firm Tallulah Love is going from strength to strength, has received the invitation from Outward Bound Trust and its chairman The Duke of York.
Michelle, 36, told the Hartlepool Mail the news was “just wild”.
The invitation is for her to also join the trust’s exclusive list of just 100 Friends who inspire young people to develop values such as confidence, hard work and passion.
She added: “At Tallulah Love we believe in sharing a passion, our inspiration, love and pursuing dreams.”
Michelle has received the invitation to attend a private supporters lunch hosted by the Duke of York either next month or in February next year.
Over the last three years, Outward Bound has worked with almost 30,000 young women, helping them to become more confident.
The trust aims to unlock the potential of young people and has invited Michelle to become one of its 100-strong Friends group.
In return, she needs to pledge a minimum donation of £3,000 and she is hoping to raise the money through donations.
Michelle first hit the headlines in 2008 when she won the Hartlepool Mail-backed If We Can, You Can competition.
Since then, she has also been a finalist in the UK Lingerie Awards, winner of the Best New Business title at the Women Into The Network competition, and runner-up in the Best International Business Woman competition.
