A HARTLEPOOL toddler who went missing on her birthday 33 years ago would have 35 today.
Katrice Lee vanished on her second birthday in Germany, where dad Richie Lee was serving with the British Army, on November 28, 1981.
Today marks the 33rd anniversary of her disappearance, and of unanswered questions for her anguished family.
Her dad has spoken regularly to the media, including the Mail, to keep her in people’s thoughts - with the hope of one day finding her.
Richie, 65, has appeared on Germany’s version of Crimewatch to help spread awareness of Katrice’s case across Europe.
He previously said: “I will never give up hope. My glass is always half-full.”
In 2012, Royal Military Police chiefs apologised to Katrice’s family after admitting a string of failings in the original investigation of her disappearance.
