Loved ones of a missing man have launched a poster campaign in a bid to locate him.

Former Wheatley Hill man Darren Lawler, 31, has not been since he left his home at around 2pm on June 11.

A police appeal has been launched to locate him and yesterday placed laminated posters around the area of Wingate Nature Reserve.

A Facebook group called Search for Darren Lawler has been created in a bid to find him.

He left his home in Ferryhill saying he was going to stay with his dad in the Wheatley Hill area but never arrived. He was last seen wearing a khaki green hoody with dark blue or black jeans and white Nike trainers with a black tick.

Darren’s right upper arm is tattooed with the name Simon.

Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact Durham Constabulary on 101 quoting reference DHM 11062015 0329.
