A busy year lies ahead on the Hartlepool dance calendar.

And Dance Fever has the details of forthcoming shows at the Town Hall Theatre in Raby Road.

Watch out for performing arts students from English Martyrs School and Sixth Form College on stage from 6.30pm on Monday, May 16.

Their show called The World Is A Stage features commissioned pieces created for examination purposes and the evening’s performances will include song, dance and drama. Tickets are £6 or £4 with concessions.

Next in line is the Showtime Spectacular by Edith Harrison Performing Arts, from Wednesday, May 25, to Friday, May 27.

Shows start at 7pm each evening and 55 junior members – as well as more senior performers – will be taking to the stage.

There will be hits from West End shows and Disney films among more than two hours of entertainment.

Tickets are £7 or £6 with concessions.

The Elwick Academy of Dance presents Lady of the Dance on Tuesday, June 14 at 7pm. The show is a tribute to Freda Compton who died aged 83 at her home in September last year after a brave battle with cancer. Freda founded the Elwick Academy of Dance in 1949 and taught thousands of Hartlepool youngsters.

Tickets are £8.50 or £7.50 with concessions.

The North Arts Academy continues the season with a show called Rock It! from Wednesday, July 6, to Saturday, July 9.

Shows will be held at 7pm each evening by the Academy which is run by Leanne Jeffries.

Tickets are £9 or £8 with concessions.
