HARTLEPOOL band The Jar Family have simultaneously released the first two singles from their hotly anticipated new album.
The new tracks released yesterday, titled Machines and Footsteps, have already caused quite a stir on Twitter and Facebook and have had national radio airplay.
The seven-piece have been playing the new tracks at recent gigs and the exclusive of the Machines video was played on the internet last week.
“It’s good to get both of the tracks out there and the response we’ve had has been fantastic,” said Al Devon, guitar and vocals in the band.
“We’ve been playing them live for the last five or six gigs now and Machines especially is becoming quite a big part of our set.”
Fans have the opportunity to see the new material live when the band continue their non-stop gigging. The lads are playing St Pancras Station Sessions Festival, in London, today before a gig in Sunderland this weekend.
And Al said the band have been in contact with Hartlepool United, who regularly play Jar Family favourite Poolie Strut, about playing their new tracks at the ground.
Al added: “There’s a lot going on at the moment and festival season is coming up fast as well so we are just waiting for confirmation on what festivals we’ll be playing.”
The band’s new singles are available for download on iTunes and the new album will be released later this year.
