HARTLEPOOL United hope a new sponsorship deal will help put them on the road to success.
The Victoria Park play-off chasers have agreed a shirt sponsorship deal with Drive Vauxhall, the Burn Road-based dealership, which will see the showroom's logo emblazoned across Pools' away shirt.
The deal was officially unveiled yesterday when boss Mick Wadsworth, chief executive Russ Green and defender Evan Horwood went along to the garage to meet general manager Joe Palmer.
Mr Palmer said: "Having been involved with Hartlepool United for a number of years now, we have built up an excellent relationship with the club.
"We are already sponsoring the Hartlepool Schools' under-13 team, and felt that extending our involvement to include the town's professional Football League club was the ideal way to underline our support to both the local community and the club."
Russ Green added: "We are very pleased to take our link-up with Drive Vauxhall to the next level.
"They have long been fantastic supporters of Hartlepool United and this latest development shows they are committed to supporting local football in the town.
"We look forward to a long and continuing relationship with them for many years to come."
Pools will show off the new logo on their shirts in tomorrow's game at Peterborough United.
