THEN & NOW: Greatham Feast memories

Then

Then

A huge crowd at Greatham Village in the late 1950s during the Feast celebrations and pictured passing through the village as part of the parade are the Heortnesse Highlanders Juvenile Jazz Band.

Opposite the ivy covered house, and now demolished, is the Greatham infants school and a large house.

How many readers remember the fish and chip shop on the corner which is now a house?

Thanks to Derek Bonner for the picture and Greatham resident Dorathy Clark for the additional information.
