A MAIL-backed scheme to help Hartlepool schools bag great new equipment is entering its final few weeks.
People have only until the end of the month to support Shop for Schools, run by Middleton Grange Shopping Centre.
The scheme, which lets parents and supporters convert money spent in the shopping centre into school equipment, will come to a close for another year on Sunday, August 31.
Before then, you can give your chosen school or nursery a triple boost when every pound spent on August Bank Holiday Monday is worth three times as many Shop for School points.
And the Mail is today giving you another chance to support the scheme by printing another 50 point bonus token – worth the equivalent of £50 worth of points.
Cameras, televisions and computers alongside more traditional prizes such as books are all on offer as part of our annual contest.
Each £1 you spend in any of the centre’s stores is worth one point.
Just take your receipts to Middleton Grange’s information desk and they will be instantly returned with points vouchers.
They can then be placed in letter boxes marked with each participating school’s name.
A total of 24 town primary schools and two nurseries are taking advantage of the scheme this year.
The more points your favourite school earns then the greater the value of the prizes they receive.
But bigger schools will not have an unfair advantage as point scores will be divided by pupil numbers to ensure no-one loses out.
And do not forget that points earned from money spent every Sunday are worth double.
