SEATON Carew Football Club have launched new football sessions for your little dribblers.
Toddlers and young children are invited to join in the footie fun from as soon as they can walk with Tiger Tots.
The sessions aim to allow both girls and boys to learn basic football skills, by focusing on the ABCs of football – agility, balance and co-ordination while having fun at the same time.
The sessions are run and coached by Samantha Vickers who is a Level One qualified football coach.
Sam also helps to coach and manage Seaton Carew’s Under 8 and Under 9 development teams.
It is all part of the club’s community-driven ethos and help children to play the game and progress into other sides as they get older.
A spokesman for the club said: “From Tiger Tots there is the opportunity of a natural progression into Seaton Carew’s Tiger Cubs which run sessions for four to seven-year-olds.
“Here your child can continue to develop their football skills at a higher level.
“As your child continues to grow they have the availability to form their own teams with Seaton Carew Football Club and progress to adulthood with part of their team.
“Bring along your little ones for lots of football fun.”
Tiger Tots sessions run for one hour every week, during term time only on a pay-as-you-go basis.
They launched on January 15 and the first session was free.
Sam is using social media such as Facebook to help spread the word among town mums.
The cost is £3 per hour and sessions are held on Thursdays at Throston Youth Project, Wiltshire Way, at 1.20am-2.30pm.
Another takes place on Fridays at 10.30am-11.30am, at Rossmere Youth Centre, Rossmere Way.
