THERE’S no place like the theatre with a showing of all-time favourite The Wizard of Oz.
The ever-popular family show is being staged at Billingham Forum Theatre, off The Causeway, in Billingham, during half-term.
There are a string of performances to chose from as the show is on from Wednesday, February 19, through to Saturday, February 22.
It stars Darren John Langford who plays Spencer Gray as the Tinman.
He is joined by another familiar face to TV viewers with Fiona Egan, from Gems TV, as the Wicked Witch of the West.
It tells the classic story of Dorothy and her dog Toto, who are transported from her home in Kansas to the magical world of Oz where she meets a cowardly lion, a heartless tinman and brainless scarecrow.
A Forum Theatre spokeswoman said: “Follow the Yellow Brick Road to Billingham Forum for a panto-style show full of colourful costumes, hilarious comedy and foot tapping songs.
“PMA Productions return to Billingham and are proud to present this enchanting, heart-warming tale and ever-popular family show.”
The show is being staged by the same people who brought Peter Pan to the Forum last year.
All seats cost £13 with concessions priced at £10.
A family ticket costs £42.00.
The show kicks off at 6.30pm, with Friday and Saturday matinee performances at 1.30pm.
