A FOOTBALL team are looking in superb shape thanks to backing from a company specialising in health and safety.
Peterlee Helford United are flying high in its new strip which has been sponsored by Castle Eden-based firm OHS.
Steve Hubery, OHS regional manager in the North-East and Scotland, knows all about the football team’s success as he is the goalkeeper. The firm also supplies two other members of the team.
Steve said: “Peterlee Helford’s success has pretty much ran alongside that of OHS with the team winning a league and cup double last year and losing only one league game all season.
“That form has continued into this season.”
OHS North-East branch is based in The Old Brewery at Castle Eden.
OHS specialises in areas such as health and safety compliance and training, asbestos management, risk assessments and water hygiene.
The rapidly-expanding company was set up 29 years ago by Leeds United supporter Martin Penny and the firm backs the Championship side as a secondary shirt sponsor.
Steve added: “With the side playing well and having good coverage in the Carling Cup, facing the likes of Manchester United, it has helped to market the company.”
