RUNNERS shouldn’t delay if they want to take part in the Hartlepool Marina five-mile Road Race.
It takes place on Sunday, March 30 places in the event - which is organised by Hartlepool Burn Road Harriers and Hartlepool Borough Council - are being snapped up fast.
The race gets underway at 10.30am and begins and ends at Hartlepool’s Maritime Experience, following a route along the Promenade to Seaton Carew and back.
It attracts runners of all ages. The minimum age for entrants is 16 and there are several prizes in the Male, Female, Senior and Veteran categories, plus £75 prizes for setting a new course record.
The event is sponsored this year by Peart Fencing and Start Fitness.
Entry forms are available at www.hartlepoolburnroad.co.uk Entry costs £10 for a member of a running club or £12 for anyone else.
People can also enter online at www.runbritain.com/races (search for ‘Marina 5’) or they can enter on the race day itself from 9am onwards onboard the paddle steamer Wingfield Castle at Hartlepool’s Maritime Experience - an additional £2 charge applies.
