Often missed

These were the words He had to say,

As they walked with Him along the way.

See how I love you,

Love each other as I love you.

He cured the sick, He healed the lame;

Those who knew Him never were the same.

He sat with sinners, He ate with thieves,

To love them all and some believed.

See how I love you.

They had Him whipped, they had him scourged,

The son of God never said a word.

They hung him high, He came to die,

The Lord of love for you and I.

See how I love you.

He rose again like the sun,

And sent his spirit to make them strong.

In wind and flame at Pentacost,

And when we ask He comes for us.

Pentecost, the top of the list,

But now so often missed.

(Whit Sunday, May 15).
