Pupils put through paces by coach

YOUNGSTERS were on the ball when Hartlepool Table Tennis Club visited a primary school.

Alan Hind from the club dropped into Golden Flatts Primary School as part of a new weekly session.

Alan put 21 pupils from Year 5 and Year 6 through their paces before taking each other on at the table.

Gemma Baines, school PE co-ordinator, said: "The kids really enjoyed it and they all got involved.

"The teachers said Alan was really good with the kids."

The sessions will continue until half-term at least.

Last term, pupils got to grips with tag rugby in another series of coach-led sessions.
