Hartlepool's Muslim community today expressed its condolences to the victims of the 'barbaric' Paris terror attacks.

A statement from the Hartlepool and Teesside community said: "The Ahmadiyya Muslim Community offers its deepest condolences to the people of France and government.

"The innocent victims of these barbaric attacks and their families are in our thoughts and prayers."

Islamic State this morning claimed responsibility for last night's co-ordinated attacks, which left at least 127 people dead and 200 injured.
