Payout for cancer victim’s family

A CANCER victim who took his fight for compensation to the grave has won a cash legacy for his family and the nurses who cared for him.

Alan Clark was 59 when he died from mesothelioma, a cancer of the lining of the stomach caused by exposure to asbestos.

Alan, from the Owton Manor area of Hartlepool, died in Hartlepool and District Hospice in August 2009, just months after being diagnosed with the disease.
