SWASHBUCKLING adventures are on offer this weekend at a marina which is set to be invaded by pirates.
Hartlepool Maritime Experience, off Marina Way, is hosting a Pirate Weekend to celebrate this month’s release of the latest film in the Pirates of the Caribbean series, On Stranger Tides.
The event takes place from 10am-5pm this Saturday and Sunday.
People are invited along in their pirate costumes to join in the fun and games plus there will be an appearance by Hartlepool’s very own Jack Sparrow.
Marine-themed arts and craft sessions, tall tales of the sea, theatre groups and animation sessions will all be part of the attraction.
Tickets for the event are £3.50 per person per day, or £5.50 for a weekend ticket.
People can pay on the day or for advance ticket sales contact the Hartlepool Tourist Information Centre, in Church Square, on (01429) 890000.
Meanwhile, Hartlepool Marina will also be adding to the fun by running taster sessions for water-based activities, including trips around the marina on the mini tall ship Adventure.
A small additional charge will apply.
