A FACEBOOK page has been set up for people to pay tributes to the family shot in Horden.

The page, called R.I.P Susan McGoldrick, Alison and Tanya Turnbull From Peterlee Durham, received 1,777 ‘likes’ up to this morning.

The Mail’s own facebook site has also been inundated with messages following the tragedy.

Bobby Turnbull, the son of Alison Turnbull, wrote: “Mam, Tanya and anty Sue...When I seen you all today you all looked so so peaceful.! Take your angel wings and get yourselves up to heaven with me nana Kitty, and the rest of the family!! I will never forget you three! Sleep tight my three stars! Love yous so much XxxxxX.”

In response to that, Karen Firth commented: “Wish I could take away your pain Bobby. So, so sad. My thoughts are with you. They were lovely ladies, I have good childhood memories with Susan and Alison that will always stay. Also Tanya who has spent occassions at the firth’s residence. They will never be forgotten. R.I.P girls. xxx”

Other tributes made included one from Andrea Burrell, who wrote: “RIP Susan, Alison and Tanya, Susan I can’t beleive this devastating news, it’s so hard to take in, you were one of my favourite customers in my salon and also a very good friend. It doesn’t seem real that I’m not going to see your beautiful face, bubbly personality and smashing sense of humour again, but I will never forget you, you will all be so sadly missed, sleep tight angels x x x”

Charlotte Morrison said: “Friends are angels who lift us to our feet when our wings have trouble remembering how to fly... You always had a smile Sue & always made me smile... No matter what... Luvs ya...

Thoughts are with the families & friends at the awful time xxxxx”

Libby Robinson added on the page: “We all whinge and moan about daily things work, money, early mornings, noisy neighbours lol, but when something like this happens it goes to show how fantastic the local people in the villages are, so many people, friends, family and people who didn’t know them personally, have took their time to write a special message to those who lost their lives. Reading these messages brings tears to your eyes, a lump in your throat, especially ones from Bobby, and other family members, we can’t imagine what you are going through.”

Graeme Batten wrote: “its taken me a day or 2 to write something here, didn’t know what to write at first, still don’t know what to write as I can’t get my head round why this happened, message to all affected, stay strong xx”

Victoria Tori Harper contributed by writing: “One of my oldest and dearest friends Tanya, you will be sadly missed. What an impact it has on us knowing your gone. Alison I knew you aswell and did so for many years. I knew you all, some more than others, still doesn’t stop the pain and make a difference to us. RIP Susan, Alison, and Tanya Turnbull. Gone but never forgotton xxx”

Leanne Dinsdale adds on the page: “R.I.P Susan Ailson and Tanya three wounderful lives been taking away far too early. My thoughts and prayers go out to all the family and friends at this, such a tragic loss god bless x x x x x x x x x x x”

Susan Bailey wrote: “Rip my lovelys it was a pleasure to have been a part of your family, gonna miss you all so much and god it’s so hard to watch your Bryan go through this because he loved his little sisters and Tanya so much, seeing Bryan goin through so much pain is killing me. My heart is also hurting for all the family, love you all, my thoughts are with you at this sad time take care x x x”
