Police appeal after man robbed in street

POLICE are appealing for witnesses to a street robbery.

A 56-year-old man was set upon in Miers Avenue, Hartlepool, at around 11pm on Monday, October 1.

A Cleveland Police spokeswoman said: “In a seemingly unprovoked attack, the victim was set upon and pushed into a wall by the man, who was wearing a hooded top.

“After the offender ran off, the victim noticed that his wallet was missing.”
