Police are appealing for information after a crash which left a driver with broken legs and ribs.
The 50-year-old driver of a Skoda has two broken legs and broken ribs and he is receiving treatment in James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough after the collision, which happened at 8am on Monday.
A silver and black Mitsubishi L200 and a blue Skoda Octavia Estate collided on the A178 Tees Road in Hartlepool at the junction with Graythorp Industrial Estate.
The 50-year-old male driver and 22-year-old male passenger of the Mitsubishi received minor injuries and the driver received treatment for cuts and grazing at the University Hospital of North Tees in Stockton where he was later released.
