Police have re-issued a warning to social media users about a man interrupting their conversations and showing “inappropriate images”.

Cleveland Police have urged members of the public to keep their social media accounts secure after receiving a string of reports about the web pest on messaging app, OoVoo.

OoVoo is a video chat and messaging app which is available for smart phones, tablets and iPods, and allows users to have conversations with multiple people at one time.

The unknown man has been interrupting people’s conversations and showing inappropriate pictures.

Police are advising people not to divulge personal information, including profile pictures which give away where the person lives. They should also check privacy settings.
