Police search for ‘vulnerable’ missing Hartlepool man

POLICE are appealing for information as to the whereabouts of a vulnerable man.

Christopher Turnbull was last seen in Whitby Street, Hartlepool, at around 5pm on Sunday, walking in the direction of Church Street.

He has not been seen since and needs to take regular medication which he may not have taken with him.

Officers believe he may have taken a large amount of cash with him and that he may have been heading towards Hartlepool’s train station.

Today Cleveland Police urged anyone who may know of his whereabouts, or who may have seen him to get in touch.

He is described as being around 5ft 10ins tall, of thin build, with receding grey hair, and wears glasses. He was last seen wearing dark blue jeans, a dark-coloured blazer or suit jacket, and brown shoes.

A spokeswoman said: “Police are appealing to trace Christopher Turnbull, a vulnerable man who was last seen on Sunday.

“He requires medication which he may not have taken with him.

“Anyone who may have seen this man is asked to contact Cleveland Police on the non-emergency 101 number.”
