A party statement said all members would reject the proposal.

PUTTING HARTLEPOOL FIRST:

Kelly Atkinson (Seaton); Keith Dawkins (Jesmond); Geoff Lilley (Fens & Rossmere) and David Riddle (Hart) all said they would reject the proposal.

Steve Gibbon was unavailable for comment.

CONSERVATIVE:

Brenda Loynes (Rural West) and Ray Martin-Wells (Rural West) both said they would reject the proposal.

George Morris was unavailable for comment.

UKIP:

George Springer (Jesmond) was not prepared to say which way he would vote ahead of the meeting, while Tom Hind (Seaton) said he planned to abstain.

INDEPENDENT:

Jonathan Brash (Burn Valley); Pamela Hargreaves (Victoria); Paul Thompson (Seaton) all said they would reject the proposal. John Lauderdale (Burn Valley) said he was not prepared to say which way he would vote ahead of the meeting.
