Project’s driving ambition

JOBLESS young Hartlepool adults are urged to join a new scheme which encourages them to brighten their prospects by learning to drive.

Driving Ambition is a new project being run at the Owton Rossmere Resource Centre.

It is targeted at young people aged 16 to 18 who are not in employment, education or training. Driving Ambition encourages them to consider their future and start to make positive plans towards getting a job or going into further education.

Part of the project helps the teenagers by encouraging them to get into driving and passing their test or, if they are not yet 17, building up incentives to be ready to go into driving once they reach 17.

The project is run by Orcel Training who are based in the Owton Rossmere Resource Centre in Wynyard Road and is funded by the Young People’s Learning Agency. Anyone interested should contact (01429) 288123 or email
