PRIMARY school pupils are dining in style after building refurbishments were completed.
Rossmere Primary School, in Catcote Road, Hartlepool, got to work on their new-look dining hall after securing funding from Hartlepool Borough Council.
After months of hard work, the hall is now complete and headteacher Sam Underwood said he was over the moon with the outcome.
Mr Underwood said: “It looks brilliant.
“Life is now so much easier for the staff who work in there, and the children love it.”
As part of the refurbishment, the school bought new equipment for the hall.
The school recently bought new tables and chairs and dinner is now served on plates instead of trays.
Mr Underwood said the food is now hotter and fresher.
“The refurbishment has just completely changed the dining experience for the youngsters,” he added.
“When I came to the school we recognised that the dining hall needed investment.
“We would like to thank Hartlepool Borough Council for the funding and it just shows how effective partnerships like this can be.”
