CHARITY volunteers and members are hoping to rack up funds with a clothing and fashion show.

Hartlepool Special Needs Support Group (HSNSG) has organised the event, entitled Preloved Bazaar.

It will see a host of clothing, from wedding and prom dresses to casual outfits, on show and on sale.

It will also feature a range of hats and accessories.

Pat Allison, manager and co-ordinator of the group, said: “The young people came forward and said they wanted to help us raise money.

“They came up with four ideas and this is the first one to come off.

“They have sourced the clothing and jewellery and have done a fantastic job. It should be a great day.”

Another event is being lined up for May, around the time of the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee celebrations and will involve home-made cakes.

Other fundraising activities will include a fun day using a Wii console and a craft fair.

Pat added: “What the young people are doing is fantastic. They are getting everyone involved and motivating people to take part.

“Times are hard and this kind of thing is important to keep the group going.”

The Preloved Bazaar is taking place from 11am-2pm on Saturday, February 18, at the HSNSG Resource Centre, in Park Road, Hartlepool.

Entry will be 50p on the door, which includes refreshments.
