Rail passengers warned of disruptions

Have your say

RAIL passengers are being warned to expect disruption this month.

Grand Central Rail, which runs services between Sunderland and London through Hartlepool, says services will be affected by engineering work on the line during April.

The disruption is expected to be worse at weekends.

It might involve slightly re-timed services to changing trains at Peterborough or Doncaster, with longer than normal journey times.

The disruption will also affect passengers who use other rail companies including East Coast to travel to and from London.

All the details are on the Grand Central website www.grandcentralrail.com/april2012-works.
