STUDENTS looked the part as they enjoyed the biggest event on the school calendar last night.

Hardwick Hall, in Sedgefield, was taken over by the Year 11 students from Dyke House Sports and Technology College, in Hartlepool.

While the lads dressed to impress in their suits, the girls arrived at the venue in a range of stunning frocks, despite the rain.

And after the hard work ahead of the GCSE exams, all of the students celebrated the end of their time at the school at last night’s event.

Hundreds of students across Hartlepool and East Durham have enjoyed their big night.

But more are still to come and coverage from every one will feature in the Hartlepool Mail and Peterlee Star.

Remember, you can order copies of the pictures in today’s Mail by telephoning our photosales department on (01429) 239408 or by visiting http://northeastpress.newsprints.co.uk.

Please make a note of any photographic reference numbers printed (eg Dyke House 62).

Watch out too for details of our bumper proms supplements with dozens more pictures.

Photos from Hartlepool schools will appear in the Mail with East Durham proms appearing in the Peterlee Star.

These supplements will be published in the middle of July.
