Raising the bar with dance

A BAR is expecting a full house as it shows dance crew Ruff Diamond’s television competition semi-final appearance on a big screen.

Vibes Wine Bar, on Hartlepool Marina, is inviting fans of the Hartlepool dance group to cheer them on in the semi-finals of Sky 1’s Got To Dance show on Sunday.

The six town lads who make up the talented street dance group will be hoping they can make it through to the show’s grand final the following Sunday.

But first they need to get through this week’s show and will be performing live on Sky 1 from 6pm.

Vibes will be showing the full hour-long show and punters will be joined by family members of the group cheering the lads on.

Craig Feeney, assistant manager at Vibes Wine Bar, said: “They’re all local lads and we should all get behind them.

“They’re all young lads but they’ve already done so well, hopefully now they can make the next step into the final.

“We are expecting a lot in, it should be a brilliant atmosphere.”

The happy hour in the bar will be extended for the show on Sunday.

The dance groups to go through to the show’s final are decided by a public vote – but people can only find out how to vote by watching the show at 6pm on Sky 1 HD on Sunday.

Viewers need to make a vote of the number to call to vote for Ruff Diamond on the show or vote online at the Got To Dance website.

If the lads make it through to the grand final they will be performing in front of an audience of 6,000 at Kensington Olympia, on March 17.
