FIVE jam-packed days of fun and games will bring the community together once again for the tradional Greatham Feast.
The event, which has been the highlight of the summer in the village, marks its 553rd year next week.
Volunters have been hard at work organising a host of events for people of all ages to enjoy.
It all kicks off on Thursday, June 19, with a five-a-side football tournament on Greatham Sports Field at 5pm.
Everyone is welcome no matter their age.
On the night the Hope and Anchor pub is hosting a variety of darts, dominoes and cribbage competitions.
Friday’s festivities begin with a church service at 10am followed by the ever popular Baby Show at Greatham Community Centre at 11.15am.
The community centre will be the venue later in the day for a pensioners’ tea.
On the night The Smiths Arms will challenge drinkers to try and sink a yard of ale during a barbecue from 8.30pm.
The big day is Saturday when villagers will don their best fancy dress and and decorate their bikes for the parade through the village which sets off at 1pm from The Smiths Arms.
Everyone then moves to the green for an afternoon of fun and games including amusements and stalls, judging of the fancy dress and bikes, glamourous grandmother competition, magic show and more.
Top prizes wil be presented during the Grand Draw. Tickets are on sale now.
The entertainment continues into the night when The Hobbies will perform on the green.
Take along your own refreshements and seating and dance the night away.
The Feast draws to a close for another year on Sunday afternoon, families are invited back to the green for a mix of fun sprorts activities and children’s tea.
