CLAIMANTS across Hartlepool and east Durham are being urged to renew their forms or their payments may stop.
HM Revenue & Customs (HMRC) are expecting more than 11,300 claimants in the area to return their renewal packs by July 31.
HMRC’s director of benefits and credits, Steve Lamey, said:
“It’s simple. If people don’t renew their claims before July 31, payments may stop.”
Having to hand documents such as payslips, end of year P60 forms and childcare details will help reduce errors when filling out forms or calling the helpline.
