HOUSING chiefs have presented a report to 8,500 tenants to show how they are working to improve housing and services to customers.
East Durham Homes’ (EDH) annual report aims to explain how the company is meeting the six standards set by the Tenant Services Authority (TSA) and highlights the achievements made over the last year.
The TSA is the regulator for housing and it requires each housing provider to produce a report showing how they are meeting the standards, and if not what they are doing to achieve them. The Annual Report for Tenants 2011 was produced with the help of a special customer editing panel set up from customer volunteers who attend service review panels with the company. EDH chief executive Paul Tanney said one highlight of 2010/2011 was the company making major inroads into its decent homes backlog.
