RESIDENTS showed pride in their neighbourhood by taking part in a clean up campaign.
Residents living in Burbank Estate, in Hartlepool, took part in the recent Love Where You Live campaign alongside volunteers from Housing Hartlepool, Cleveland Police and Fire Brigade and other organisations.
They were joined by councillors Robbie Payne and Jim Ainslie, and Coun Payne said: “This is an excellent initiative which is designed to encourage residents to take more pride in their neighbourhood and I support it wholeheartedly.”
The group took to the streets to litter pick, improve gardens and paint fences. Residents were encouraged to tidy up their gardens with the assistance of Housing Hartlepool caretakers.
Alongside the clean-up work, Housing Hartlepool’s Neighbourhood Team were on hand to provide tenancy advice and support on tackling anti-social behaviour.
