RESIDENTS of a retirement village have helped to continue the fight against cancer in Hartlepool.
The ladies of the Hartfield Retirement Village held an Easter fair and raised £356 for the Macmillan Cancer cause.
Macmillan Hartlepool official Derek Redman said: “A huge thank you for all at Hartfields for their continued support for Macmillan.
“My youngest son Ian, who lives in Sevenoaks in Kent, brought up the Dundee cake baked by his wife Mel to be raffled for Macmillan.
“All monies raised for Macmillan stays in the Hartlepool area to help people living with cancer.”
