CAR enthusiast Kevin Marwood has recently bought himself a Jaguar XJ Sovereign - and now wants to meet other fans of the classic car.

The 61-year-old says he has always loved Jaguar cars and was delighted when he bought his impressive new motor earlier this year.

But new he wants fellow Jaguar owners to join him at a new Jaguar club, which meets for the first time this Sunday, November 17 at the Windmill, in Dalton Piercy.

“I have seen quite a few Jaguars around the town and I knew there was nothing like this in Hartlepool so I thought I would give it a go and try and launch this new club,” said Kevin, who lives in St Luke’s Court, in the town, and works as a signwriter at the University Hospital of Hartlepool.

“I am just going to see how it goes.

“I’m hoping to get somewhere between 20 and 30 people turning up on Sunday, if we do that will be great and we can make it more of a permanent fixture.

“If it doesn’t take off then it’s not to be, I’m just going to see how it goes.”

Kevin chose the Windmill because of the large car park area. The group will meet at 2pm and there will also be the opportunity for a drink and chat in one of the function rooms. For more information call Kevin on 07941654234 or email
