RNLI crews rescue fishing boat off Hartlepool coast

RNLI crews were called out after a fishing boat broke down.

Hartlepool RNLI inshore lifeboat was told just before 3pm by Humber Coastguard that vessel with two people on board had suffered a mechanical failure three miles from the Headland.

The lifeboat and volunteer crew launched minutes later and had reached the boat by 3.10pm before towing it to the Marina.

The inshore lifeboat returned to the Ferry Road lifeboat station and was made ready for service by 4.15pm.

Thankfully, no-one was hurt in the incident.
