A MIND-BOGGLING group of circus performers who starred on Britain’s Got Talent are coming to town.
But anyone expecting the usual mix of clowns and jugglers will be in for a shock.
The Circus of Horrors, who made it through to the semi finals of the hit TV talent show, are bringing their latest show to Hartlepool.
Entitled Freaks and Feathers, it will feature human pin cushions, a man with the stretchiest skin in the world and Captain Dan the demon dwarf who opens bottles with his eye and eats broken glass.
Ringmaster Dr Haze said: “It is basically all the freakiest and best acts from the Circus of Horrors, not just this year but who have performed with us over the years mixed with brilliant circus acts.
“We get a great reaction to the show. People get to see all these weird and wonderful acts you would only see on their television screens.”
The Circus of Horrors come to Hartlepool’s Town Hall Theatre in Raby Road, on Thursday, April 19.
Other bizarre acts featured in the show include Anastasia who swings across the stage suspended by her hair, a girl who squeezes herself into a bottle and sword swallower Hannibal Helmurto.
Dr Haze added: “We get a great reaction from audiences.
“The great thing about Hartlepool and the Town Hall Theatre is it is quite small so everybody is going to get a ringside seat and a really great view. It should make for a fantastic atmosphere and we are expecting a sell out.
“Although we are based in London, we consider the North-East to be our second home as we regularly come up there and always do great business.”
The show, starts at 7.30pm, and is not deemed suitable for anyone under 16.
