YOUNGSTERS showed off their romantic side during a day of Valentine’s activities.
Children aged from three to 16 took part in a series of romance-themed crafts to mark Valentine’s Day.
The sessions took place at the two Out Of School Care in Hartlepool (OSCAR) sites throughout the town.
Twenty five youngsters at the Miers Avenue site and another 24 at the Wynyard Road base, both in Hartlepool, enjoyed the activities.
They showed off their creative flare by making cards, cupcakes and decorations.
They even got the chance to post their card in specially-designed letter boxes meaning all of the youngsters received a Valentine’s Day card.
Karen Jones, assistant co-ordinator at the OSCAR Miers Avenue site, said: “It was a really enjoyable day.
“We had all sorts planned and the youngsters all participated and really enjoyed it.”
The Valentine’s Day activities were part of a week-long programme planned for youngsters during half term.
The children were set to enjoy a trip to Vue Cinema, in the town today and youngsters can still sign up for activities tomorrow and Friday.
A toy day will be taking place at both sites tomorrow, while Friday morning is also set to be action packed with team games in the morning and arts and crafts planned for the afternoon.
The Hartlepool Borough Council-run sessions are priced at £16.75 per child per day which includes admission, transport and art and craft materials.
Children must provide their own toys for tomorrow’s toy day.
