A RUGBY club has been boosted after renewing a sponsorship deal with a solicitors’ firm.

Hartlepool Rugby Club has teamed up with town-based form Smith & Graham after the success of a similar deal last season.

Smith & Graham has once again become the main sponsors of the Mayfield Park-based club and have provided the first XV training tops and branding on the shorts and club T-shirts.

The company, which is based in the Church Square area of Hartlepool, will also providing an innovative way of providing extra money for the junior rugby development.

Sean Wiles, Director of Rugby at Hartlepool RFC, said: “In additional to the clothing sponsorship, by simply saying that you are a Hartlepool RFC member, you will secure a 10 per cent discount on selected services at Smith & Graham.

“In addition they will make a five per cent contribution to the development of the rugby club.”

Steven Horsley, a partner at Smith & Graham, added: “We are proud to be able to assist in the continuing development of community rugby club and give something back to the local community.

“We at Smith & Graham wish Hartlepool Rugby Club every success for the rest of the league campaign.”

Meanwhile, the club are looking to boost their junior sections by encouraging more children to sign up.

Coaches are looking to add to the under 8/9s (Year 4 and 5) sides.

Training sessions take place every Sunday at Mayfield Park, with players asked to meet at 10.15am for a 10.30am start.

Any new players will be welcomed with open arms, and training is free of charge.

The club is described as a “great family based club offering rugby, friendship and a superb social environment”.
