A TOWN rugby club is celebrating the best possible start to a new season after securing a valuable shirt sponsorship deal with two local firms.
Hartlepool Rugby Club, based at Mayfield Park, in Easington Road, will once again have their first team playing shirts provided by Smith & Graham Solicitors this year, following on from a successful sponsorship deal last season.
And in a double boost for the club, JT Atkinson Builders Merchant, based in Burn Road, have also signed up for a sponsorship deal that will see the company’s logo take pride of place on the senior shirts and on advertisement boards in the Mayfield Road stand.
Delighted John Bradley, Hartlepool RFC’s president, said: “It is a real pleasure to be associated with two of the most prestigious local firms and thanks again to both companies for the sponsorship deals.
“It is a great fit for us to be aligned with the best in their respective fields.”
Both firms say they are extremely pleased to be supporting the rugby club, who play in the Durham Northumbria Two league.
Steven Horsley, partner at Smith & Graham, said: “We are proud to be able to assist in the continuing development of the community rugby club and give something back to the local community for which my firm has been a part of for more than 100 years. We at Smith & Graham wish Hartlepool Rugby Club every success for the forthcoming league campaign.”
Jamie Atkinson, of JT Atkinson Building Merchant, added: “We are delighted to assist Hartlepool Rugby Club.
“We hope that our new sponsorship deal will help the club as they play a vital role in the community, providing a sporting outlet for people of all ages and abilities. The club’s focus on the development of its youth players is also fantastic.”
Smith & Graham is also offering a 10 per discount on selected services to members of the club.
