RUNNERS of all abilities are being urged to lace up their trainers and do their bit for Sport Relief.
A day of races will be held at the Pavilion, in Helford Road, Peterlee, later this month.
People can choose to take part in a one mile, three mile or six mile race in support of the cause.
It is the second time the event has been held at the centre and organisers are encouraging fundraisers to go along and join in with the fun.
The last time the event was held £300 was raised on the day, which was added to the individual sponsorship totals of all of those taking part.
Sharon Pounder, sports development officer for Peterlee Town Council, said: “The last event was a success, we had around 120 participants, but hopefully this year will be even better.
“There’s no age limit and runners of all abilities are welcome along. We hope people will turn out in force and support the cause.”
The event will take place on Sunday, March 25, with the action getting underway at 10am.
Entry is £6 for adults, £3 for children or £15 for a family of four.
