A YOB who had to be tasered twice by police to bring him under control has been locked up.
Hartlepool man David Sowerby, 21, was jailed for 14 months at Teesside Crown Court after causing damage to his grandmother’s car and brandishing a samurai sword.
Sowerby’s wild behaviour occurred on July 9 last year after he turned up drunk at his grandparents’ home.
The court heard how he went outside and damaged his grandmother’s Vauxhall Vectra with a metal chain then swung a samurai sword around.
Police were called but had to use their electric tasers twice to stun him into submission.
Sowerby, of Dowson Road, Hartlepool, admitted affray and damaging property.
