DANCE crew Ruff Diamond is in demand for weddings and bar mitzvahs.

There is no let-up in the popularity of the crew from Hartlepool which is now enjoying a whole host of bookings for private functions – as well as an invitation to perform at the biggest dance event in the country.

Mark Watson, who acts as a liaison person between the Ruff Diamond crew and their manager, said: “We are doing a bar mitzvah in Chelsea and it is in quite a big venue. We have had quite a few bookings for this type of thing.

“We are also get bookings for weddings as well. The crew will certainly be busy during February and March.”

Ruff Diamond danced at three bar mitzvahs last year.

Mark added: “They dance for the kids and then they do a meet and greet session afterwards.”

But that’s not the only new development for the Hartlepool crew. They have also been invited to be part of the Move It exhibition at London Olympia in March.

Mark said: “There will be thousands there. We will be dancing during it and giving workshops. It is the biggest dance exhibition in the country and it is a real privilege to be part of it.”

Ruff Diamond will be hoping to continue their good work afer a year to remember last year.

They performed with the cast of EastEnders – live in front of 11 million viewers – at the Children in Need live show.

It all started when they were runners-up in the Sky 1 competition Got To Dance.

Then they signed up with Beautiful Movements, the company led by former Pussycat Doll and Sky One’s Got to Dance judge Kimberly Wyatt, were crowned UK adult hip hop champions and followed that up by coming 16th in the World Hip Hop Championships in Las Vegas.
